    Welcome to an exhibition on images of Sweden, spirits and sex. In collaboration with artist Peter Johansson, we get to grips with lust and vice, liberation and shame – with ”Swedish sin”, both the myth and the phenomenon.

    Old Town Christmas Market

    Welcome to visit this famous, oldest and most traditional Christmas Market in Stockholm with a special cheery festive atmosphere! It is located in the heart of the Old Town (Gamla Stan) at Stortorget square (close to the Royal Palace).

    In the Old Town Christmas Market you will find Swedish Christmas sweets smoked sausages, reindeer, elkmeat and other delicacies.

    There is also Glögg (mulled wine), a range of Swedish handicrafts and decorative arts of high-quality workmanship.

    Open daily between 11.00 and 18.00 hours.

    Thomanders Jul i Lund, means traditional Christmas preparations as in the days of the Thomanders family.

    There will be horse-drawn carriages, outdoor drama performances, stalls, Santas, bands playing, organ-grinders, choirs singing and a lot more – all reminiscent of what Christmas time in Lund was like in the 19th century

    There has been a traditional Christmas market at Skansen every Christmas since 1903. The market is crowded with stalls selling traditional sausages, cheeses, handicrafts, spices and essences, Christmas decorations, embroidery, leather goods, Skansen's own handmade mustard, glass, bread and cakes, hand-knitted mittens, sugared almonds, tallows, honey, marzipan, crisp bread, smoked turkey, jams and marmalades, candy, children's books and masses of other irresistible items!
