Skåne Fishing breaks for everyone

Fishing Breaks for everyone

With its stunning coastline and wealth of rivers and lakes, there’s plenty of fishing to fit in on a short break in Skåne. This breath-taking province offers fishing breaks to suit all types of fisherman, with opportunities for deep sea fishing, reef fishing, fly fishing, spinning, float fishing and jigging. The province boasts diverse waters too, with serene lakeside fishing, picturesque river fishing and dramatic coastal fishing all on offer.

As Sweden’s most southerly province, Skåne is close to Denmark and can be reached by the Öresund Bridge that connects the Danish city of Copenhagen to Sweden. With flights from London to Copenhagen taking less than two hours, you can be out on the beautiful Skåne waters in no time. Plus, with so much top notch Nordic fishing to squeeze into your mini break, any time saved will be much appreciated.

With time being of the essence on fishing weekends, Skåne is ideal for short fishing breaks as it offers a whole host of fishing in a relatively small area. Just to the north of Höör in the centre of the province is the small but perfectly formed lake Vaxsjön, which is located close to lake Dagstorpssjön. Both lakes are next to nature reserves, so a fishing trip here means fantastic fishing on two beautiful lakes, all in one afternoon. Similarly, if river fishing is more your thing, the Helge å, Vramsån, Almaån, Skräbeån and Holjeån rivers can all be found in Northeast Skåne. Their close proximity to each other means you can easily fish on all four rivers within one short break. Plus, three sides of Skåne is surrounded by sea, so no matter wear you are in the province, you’re never too far from a great fishing Sweden opportunity.
