Bastard Mat & Vin

Son-of-a-butcher! Bastard is Malmö’s newest, sexiest, overnight success and offers nose-to-tail cooking by one tattoo covered son-of-a-butcher (Andreas Dahlberg). With its sleek zinc bar, flaming grills, open kitchen and modern European home cooking, Bastard is unpretentious, bold, and generous in every way. The staff may not be illegitimate, but they certainly make their own rules; irreverent, bordering on downright naughty and loved by the locals who like to slink in for a glass of organic wine and planka; the menu staple of high quality charcuterie, superb sour-dough, cornichons, and some rocking rillettes. Star dishes? Shredded pig’s trotters, duck thigh confit, crisped oven-grilled chicken and in summer, extra-ordinarily delicate pizzas, direct from the brick oven in the courtyard.
