Description of fishing/locations: The Sjuhärad district, famed for its small scale textile and handicrafts industries, lies between Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden and the town of Jönköping going east across the country. Sjuhärad consists of mostly pretty small towns, villages and farms – all very typically west Sweden in a red-cottage-on-the-horizon kind of way.
That’s the geography, what about the fishing? It is good. In fact, it can be great. Hundreds of good fishing lakes, streams and wetlands set in a landscape of undulating, rocky woodlands. From March to November, you’ll catch the spring, summer and early winter seasons and hopefully a ton of pike, pike perch, perch, salmon trout, bream, tench and trout.
Accommodation: Various self-catering and other accommodation packages are on offer near to the fishing for groups of 2-50 people. This includes cottages, cabins and wilderness camps.
