Riksgränsen in Swedish Lapland

Riksgränsen in Swedish Lapland

Ski resort description: Riksgränsen is out of this world. Well, almost … it is after all the world's northernmost ski resort, 200 km above the Arctic Circle where the mountains of Sweden, Norway and Finland meet. Go right up until midsummer and ski under the midnight sun.
At Riksgränsen there is a whole lot of wild. Picture pristine wilderness, picturesque pistes, guided off-piste tours, heli-skiing and 60 established summits over 1200 metres. Elbow-room? Not a problem.
Don’t go too wild though – keep some energy for the legendary après-ski nightlife. Or hang up your skis and enjoy a glass of ‘glögg’ in the outdoor hot tubs at the world’s northernmost spa.
Accommodation: Everything from hostels and self-service apartments to the exclusive hotel Meteorologen – all within walking distance of the slopes.
Restaurant: Have lunch at Lappis, gourmet at Lapplandia Restaurant or bar food in Grönan.
