Tällberg in Dalarna

Tällberg – a town of contrasts – from Midsummer celebrations to hi-tech conference facilities.

Tällberg is a small town with around 400 inhabitants that nestles Lake Siljan in central Sweden. It is a celebration of the old and the new – from the Dalcarlian Horse – the small, brightly coloured, wooden souvenir famous around the world – to ultra modern hotels/conference facilities.

The town and the surrounding region offer access to many activities including skiing, fishing, hiking and boating. Tällberg is famed in Sweden for its Midsummer celebrations, when the local dress in traditional costume and dance around the maypole. The town also offers a wealth of antiques, glassware, textiles and gift shops - and of course, don’t leave before buying a Dalecarlian Horse (Bill Clinton and many world leaders have one).

This is the country of Anders Zorn, the world famous Swedish painter of three US presidents and local folk culture.
