    Icebug Xperience – West Coast Rock Trail

    The Icebug Xperience is a new outdoor event in the archipelago of Bohuslän. Participants spend three days walking or running through a varied and stunning natural landscape. The region, ranked by CNN as the seventh most beautiful wilderness in the world, offers magical forests, agricultural land and the windswept coast, with its pink granite and smooth rocks.

    Many other walking and running activities take place in a mountain setting; we wanted to instead show off the archipelago of Bohuslän, a unique natural environment. The event will be centred round the Ramsvikslandet area - between Hunnebostrand and Kungshamn.

  • Falsterbo Bird Show 04 September 2015 - 06 September 2015
    Falsterbo Bird Show

    Falsterbo Bird Show is an annual, international bird-watching event. The timing coincides with peak bird migration and promises to deliver spectacular encounters with migrating birds. It takes place at Nabben, Skanörs ljung and, with a fair, at the adjacent Falsterbo Horse Show’s arena. There are plenty of interesting bird and birding-related activities available for everyone.

  • Klarälvdalen Challenge 05 September 2015
    Klarälvdalen Challenge

    The Klarälvdalen Challenge offers Paddlers to test themselves: 84 km within 12 hours.

    Klarälven is one of Sweden’s classic paddling rivers, running through beautiful countryside in the north of Värmland. The Klarälvdalen Challenge offers paddlers the opportunity to test themselves over a substantial section of this great river.

    At “normal” water levels, Klarälven flows at around 2 – 2.5kms/hour and the Challenge course goes with the flow.

    There are no natural obstacles in the river but to ensure paddlers safety and reduce the risk of injury, 3 compulsory check points are included. Paddlers must get out their canoe or kayak to check in approximately 100 meters from the river.

    The event is open to single and double seat canoes and kayaks with cash prizes for all classes. The event is open to all types of kayak.

    Buoyancy vests must be worn by all participants.
    Minimum age for entry is 18 years old

    Tjejmilen

    This is the biggest sporting event in Sweden for women with 34,000 female runners and joggers of all ages.
    Everyone loves the scenic course through the royal park ”Djurgården” in central Stockholm. The distance is 10,000 metres.

    The Autumn Fair - Harvest Festival

    At Skansen, the Autumn Fair is an annual fixture at which you will meet tavern waitresses, stable-lads, farmers and smallholders bringing this year’s produce to market. The fair is organized by Skansen’s Village Institute and it provides a taste of life at a country fair in the old days. Skansen’s Autumn Fair takes Place at the Bollnäs Square. Apples‚ root vegetables‚ herbs‚ flowers and more on for sale.

    Demonstrations and tips how products our earth provides can be used in cooking. In our houses and farmsteads you can learn more about how we took care about the crops in the past.

  • Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art 12 September 2015 - 22 November 2015
    Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art

    The Biennial has taken place every other year since 2001. Since 2006, Röda Sten Art Centre has been the main organizer of Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art, commissioned by the City of Götebor’s Cultural Affairs committee.

  • Stockholm Half Marathon 12 September 2015
    Stockholm Half Marathon

    The Stockholm Half Marathon is run on an inspiring and fast course through the inner city areas of Stockholm; Norrmalm, Vasastan, Kungsholmen, the Old Town and Södermalm. Start at the Royal Palace, finish at the city park in Kungsträdgården.
    During the race you will pass many of Stockholm’s most famous landmarks and buildings; Karlberg's Castle, the City Hall, the House of Nobility, the Royal Palace, the Swedish Parliament and the Royal Opera House.  
    The difference between the highest and the lowest point of the course is 27 metres.
    The distance is 21 098 metres.
