Davidshall is the newest funky area of Malmö with a horde of vintage and independent/own-design boutiques. Go to Lollopard for edgy patterns and shop in Tjallamalla for Swedish designers. And go to Fersens väg and surrounding streets for vintage.
Shopping centres
Malmö has shopping centres all over the city centre. Triangeln is the largest with everything under one (glass) roof. Much in the same vein is Entré, Hansa and Caroli city shopping centres. A little outside of the centre is the large Mobilia with a comprehensive selection of shops.
Eco-chic
Malmö has its very own eco-chic area at Drottningtorget with lots of eco-cafés, a spring and autumn time farmers market, and shops selling ecologically friendly clothes.
Historical shopping hub
Lilla Torg is the charming cobbled square with half-timbered post-medieval houses where you can shop for Swedish handicrafts as well as designs from the indigenous Sami people of Swedish Lapland. Check out Form/Design Center for shops and exhibitions specializing in Scandinavian design.

Olsson and Gerthel do everything from interiors and fantastically functional but sleek Scandinavian modern furniture to bags and accessories. David Design concept store is inspiring for colourful interior ideas and Liebling does pretty design from fashion to interiors to gift items.
Cultural souvenirs
To buy handicrafts directly from 20 regional professional craft artists, visit Formargruppen, an artists’ cooperative with a shop and a gallery specialising in contemporary crafts. For interior utensil and gifts in the retro vein, shop at Miss Juniversum for an injection of Swedish kookiness. And antique lovers will be pleased with a visit to Rågers Antique & Design.

Eat at Möllevångstorget or ‘Möllan’ – Malmö’s most happening spot. This is where you will find the very definition of colourful neighbourhood with a fruit and vegetable market and endless cafés and restaurants specialising in food from all over the world.
