Located in a stunning riverside position, the spectacular Opera building, designed by Jan Izkovitz, is a key landmark in the brand new cityscape emerging in the transformed harbour precinct along both riverbanks.
The Gothenburg Opera season stretches from mid-August until mid-June and the varied and exciting programme includes opera, dance, musicals and concerts. Gothenburg Opera also has a popular restaurant with a large summer terrace offering views across the water and the ‘boat life’ on Göta Älv.
