Acoustic brilliance
The Main auditorium seats 1,300 and has been designed in a classic octagonal form with concave sound reflectors that give a warm tone and swing the sound all the way into the middle of the auditorium.
Don’t just sit there
Besides enjoying ballet, opera, concerts and artist performances, you can take a 1 hour guided tour of the opera house. Get a peek behind-the-scenes, walk in the secret corridors, and see wigmakers, workshops, costume designers and tailors in action.
Free introductions
Check out the Small Stage or the Opera Bar an hour before the opera or dance performance you have bought a ticket to for a free talk or introduction.
You will not go hungry or thirsty. There are 3 cafés, 2 cocktail bars, and one rather good restaurant. If you are typically Swedish you will plan ahead and pre-order your interval drink/snack.
Good to know:
The hearing impaired can borrow infrared hearing aids and wheelchair users pay 50% of normal ticket price.
