VisitSweden Wins Prevue Awards

VISITSWEDEN WINS PREVUE VISIONARY AWARDS
Celebrating visionary approach to Meetings + Incentives (MICE)
VisitSweden has been named the top European Destination in the first annual Prevue Visionary Awards competition, celebrating destinations and suppliers who have shown excellence in three core “Pillar” areas: Return on Experience, Return on Investment, and Return on Collaboration.
The award reflects the commitment of VisitSweden USA to building its presence in the market and to positioning Sweden as a top global destination for Meetings and Incentive Groups, filled with beauty and history yet always contemporary and cutting edge.
The Stockholm Convention Bureau, one of VisitSweden’s strategic partners, shared in the Destination award.
ICEHOTEL Sweden, also a strategic partner, received the first annual Prevue Visionary Award as best European Hotel or Resort.
For the Prevue Visionary Awards, destination and supplier nominees from around the world were chosen by the editors of Prevue magazine. Winners were decided by the meeting and incentive planning community and the public at large.
Creating the Vision
VisitSweden’s MICE marketing strategy presents an innovative, creative, and honest picture of our core values.
To set Sweden apart from the crowd and to demonstrate its unique vision and capabilities, freelance  Creative Director Andre Landeros Michel chose bold, unexpected imagery for the visual media campaign. Drawing on his background in menswear design and his passion for the historical and the dramatic, he presented a vision of Sweden that was exciting and attractive to meeting planners looking for a destination that would surprise and delight their clients.
Social media is also an integral part of VisitSweden’s outreach to both the MICE and the leisure travel markets. Ongoing Facebook and Twitter campaigns have increased brand awareness, generated positive engagements, and capitalized on the explosive power of viral marketing and communication.
