EXHIBITIONS: Inca gold is going underground (NEW) The Skeppsholmen Caverns in central Stockholm are reopening to house a fascinating exhibition. Last year’s exhibition of the Terracotta Warriors was the most popular exhibition of all time in Sweden, with more than 350,000 visitors. It is now being followed up with an exhibition of the golden treasures of the Inca Empire. The story of the hunt for El Dorado, the golden land, will also be told in the unusual exhibition space in the Swedish Navy’s former secret bunker. ”INCA – Golden Treasures in the Caverns” will be on display September 10, 2011 – February 12, 2012. 100 most important innovations at Tekniska Museet (NEW) After the New Year, The Swedish National Museum of Science and Technology will beat the big drum and open its biggest exhibition to date. In 2,000 square meters of exhibition space, visitors will learn about the 100 most important innovations of all time in a new and thrilling visual way. “100 Innovations” will open in January, 2012.
