Henning Mankell, the award-winning Swedish novelist, will be promoting his electrifying stand-alone global thriller: The Man from Beijing -- next month during a book signing tour through Washington, Boston and New York.
January 27, 2010, New York, NY -- You may want to put a trip to Hesjövallen, Sweden on your “must see” list after meeting the acclaimed author of the Kurt Wallander mysteries, which recently aired on PBS. Henning Mankell, the award-winning Swedish novelist, will be promoting his electrifying stand-alone global thriller: The Man from Beijing -- that takes place in the Swedish hamlet – in February during a book signing tour through Washington, Boston and New York.
The book opens in Hesjövallen with a 19-person massacre, and then spins threads internationally and back in time to solve the murders.
Kirkus Reviews (A Nielsen Company) describes Mankell’s new book as: “A sweepingly ambitious tale of corruption, injustice and revenge that ranges over three continents and 140 years . . . Breathtakingly bold in its scope.”
