Sweden’s rich and diverse landscapes cater for all occasions and tastes, from extreme adventures to absolute peace in the wilderness. The Swedish countryside is easily accessible whether you are traveling in a group or by yourself, regardless whether you are an experienced wilderness adventurer or an urban dweller in pursuit of a moment’s relaxation from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Swedes have a particularly intimate and treasured relationship with their nature, which has involved us working hard over the years in order to make access convenient and equitable. One feature of the special relationship Swedes have to nature is our deep-rooted Right of Public Access, that gives everyone the opportunity to trek, camp and enjoy nature most places countryside, as long as you behave in a respectful and responsible manner.

From the iridescent cascading northern lights of Swedish Lapland, to the white sandy beaches and islands archipelagos it’s yours to discover and enjoy.

"Showing our foreign guest’s Lapland’s magnificent wilderness and exciting culture is a privilege. But also a great responsibility. We work closely with nature and are proud of our origins and history. We want to spread knowledge about the Sami culture, and how to enjoy being close to animals and nature," says Lennart Pittja, Pathfinder, Lapland.
