Sami culture

Lapland means “land of the Sami”, the indigenous people of this land. Together with them you can discover the flora, fauna and wildlife of this vast lamd – probably the last true wilderness in Europe.

This is an untouched land of lakes, forests, mountains, waterfalls and marshes. The reindeer is at the centre of the sledding and trekking activities and you will find out how invaluable this animal is to the Sami peope. As you discover this country you will also learn about Sami history, culture and philosophy. You might also want to try your hand at herding and lassoing the reindeer; expertly instructed by a Sami herdsman.

Pathfinder Lapland’s trips are certified according to “Nature’s Best” by the Swedish Eco-Tourism Society. And means that you leave no trace that you were ever here!

Play golf in Sweden

Sweden has made a name for itself as a golfing nation with the success of golfing legend Annika Sörenstam and leading PGA Tour players Carl Petterson and Henrik Stenson. This is an achievement made more remarkable given Sweden’s long winters, but unsurprising given the quality of Sweden’s golf courses.
