Brunch cruise in the archipelago

Wake up late on a Sunday morning, tired after a long Saturday night, and a brunch cruise in the Stockholm archipelago seems like the best idea ever!

Brunch cruise in the Stockholm archipelago(Brunch cruise, buffet)

We take a short stroll in the sunshine down to Strandvägen and at 12.00 board s/s Stockholm. The fact that s/s Stockholm is an old post steamer from the thirties makes the experience feel like something out of an old movie.

As we sit down at a table the boat makes it way out of Stockholm and heads towards the 24 000 islands that make up the Stockholm archipelago. Just sitting and admiring beautiful small islands and the houses that grace the waterside is a Sunday pleasure in itself.

But I have to say that the brunch buffet doesn’t let the side down - an endless supply of herring, salmon, salami, Parma ham, different pasta salads and, of course, the obligatory bacon, sausage, and egg. And to top it off, so that no one goes hungry, they have added cheeses, chocolate cake and, my favourite, a blueberry pancake cake to die for.

There is enough to keep you busy for the three-hour cruise and when the boat moors back at Strandvägen, you feel ready to take on another week.
