When you talk about Vemdalen, you’re actually talking about three ski resorts: Björnrike, Vemdalsskalet and Klövsjö/Storhogna.

Thirty lifts, 53 slopes, 4 ski areas for kids, 3 Fun Parks, 52 km of machine groomed cross-country trails for both skate and classic and 180 km of marked paths on the mountain. Vemdalen is built on three cornerstones: Proximity, Snow Assurance and Family Friendliness.

You are always close to Vemdalen at a bit more than five hours away from Stockholm, two hours from Sundsvall and only an hour from Östersund. Vemdalen opens early – usually in October – and closes in May.
 
To make the base even better, we can cover about 54% of a total of 123 hectares of piste area with manmade snow. At full speed, the snow gun produces the equivalent of 180 lorry loads of snow per hour. Vemdalen is known for its homely feeling, hospitality and personal service – 85% of visitors to Vemdalen are regular guests.
