Smögen

Smögen, on the west coast of Sweden is one of Sweden’s liveliest “summer towns”. Here you can soak up the relaxed maritime atmosphere and enjoy the picturesque fisherman’s’ cottages and boats that dot the landing stage beside the water. There are many shops and restaurants to choose from.

Smögen is home to one of Sweden’s few fish markets and you enjoy the catch of the day later at one the many fish restaurants here. If you come in late September you’ll catch the start of the annual lobster season - Swedish lobster is among the finest in the world. The archipelago that lies just off Smögen is wonderful at any time of the year and you can take guided tours and go on fishing trips.

If you visit Smögen buy some shrimps – they’re wonderful.

Nature experiences
