We are deeply saddend by the news that Henning Mankell, Wallander author, has died, aged 67. The author of the Wallander books made the seaside town of Ystad famous via the books and the TV series. Ystad in Skåne, Southern Sweden, is setting for the Swedish and British versions of Henning Mankell’s Wallander books and the films and television adaptations about the morose police inspector.
Sweden is home to some magnificent wild animals such as brown bears, wolves and moose, as well as an interesting bird and butterfly fauna.
