Works by Nordic favourites alongside Monet, van Gogh, Rembrandt and Picasso and other famous names. The Göteborg Museum of Art has collections of art dating from the 1300s, right up to present day. Works by Nordic favourites Carl Larsson, Anders Zorn and Ernst Josephsson compete for attention, alongside Monet, van Gogh, Rembrandt and Picasso and many other famous names. The museum covers three floors and takes you through contemporary art, sculpture, Swedish 18th century art, Nordic art of the 1900s, as well as European art from 1500 to 1700. The collection is rounded off with the Göteborg colourists, Nordic art 1900-1950 and the French Collection. The museum offers guided tours, a bookshop and the Museum Café offers refreshments. The permanent exhibition is complemented by visiting exhibitions. Worthy of note is the Hasselblad Museum inside the museum and Göteborgs Konsthall that adjoins the museum.
