Ski resort description: Järvsö is about more than drinking hot chocolate and cold beer … it is also the proud owner of a super-long ski season from November until April’s end. Only 3.5 hours by car from Stockholm - or even shorter by train - Järvsö is a weekend break haven.
Situated in a valley, Järvsö has 19 slopes facing in every direction, so you can choose a sunny or sheltered run. Advanced skiers will be happy to know of the 2 km longest run and the drop height of 200 metres.
Beginner? Go to Järvsö’s highly regarded ski school. Kid? Have fun in your own supervised ski area with a toboggan slope, free-ride fun park and ‘Trollturen’, where trolls whizz you around on snowmobiles!
