Every winter, the famous Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi attracts the curious to experience the cold and dark, and to spend a night in a fabulous ice room with just ice and snow as far as the eye can see outside. Norr-land specialties are served in the restaurant: starter of bleak roe, whitefish roe and trout roe with onion, sour cream and flatbread served on a piece of ice; reindeer fillet, shoulder and tongue is well paired with cloudberry and almond potatoes; or a full menu of “ice dishes” – and sides made of ice.
