Selma Lagerlöf is one of the greatest Swedes ever.

Nobel Laureate, a farmer, a businesswomen and the first women to be admitted to the prestigious Swedish Academy.

Selma Lagerlöf is also famed for her book “The Wonderful Adventures of Nils” that has been translated into 60 languages and read in schools the world over. She bequeathed the house in her will and wanted it preserved exactly as it was on the day that she died. And it is.
You can visit the drawing room, kitchen and library; where she wrote some of her books. There is a garden, bookshop and café to enjoy when you visit this charming house.

There are guided tours only and it is open to the public by prior arrangement.
