Whet your appetite for Scandinavia, in a new London restaurant

The lucky winner of this month’s competition will enjoy a taste of Scandinavia, at Madsen restaurant in South Kensington.

The climate, landscape and coastal waters of Scandinavia have given rise to a unique food culture. The light, the long growing season and the wide open spaces create a cuisine shaped by the environment itself: healthy, natural, and infused with taste. Food as it should be. This is the background for Madsen, a new Scandinavian restaurant in South Kensington, London.

The restaurant is situated on Old Brompton Road, South Kensington - right outside the Tube. It is run by Dane Charlotte Kruse Madsen and serves both traditional and modern Scandinavian dishes. For lunch the restaurant offers smørrebrød with herring, smoked salmon, roastbeef with remoulade, and breaded filet of plaice.
