Sweden’s second biggest city is known for its friendly atmosphere, and everything from shopping and museums to cafés and nightclubs are within comfortable walking distance.

Gothenburg also has many fine restaurants with excellent chefs. Among the specialities are fresh fish and seafood. Chefs from Gothenburg have won the prestigious”Chef of the Year” title seven times in the past nine years.

The parade street Avenyn is an attraction in itself, with its constantly vibrant pulse, outdoor restaurants, nightclubs and lots of people. In Sweden’s largest indoor shopping centre, Nordstan, you’ll find the latest fashions and specialist stores.

The Art Museum is famous for its collection of Nordic art and the Gothenburg Opera House gives both classical and modern performances. Liseberg amusement park is the most visited attraction in Scandinavia.
