Located in a stunning riverside position, the spectacular Opera building, designed by Jan Izkovitz, is a key landmark in the brand new cityscape emerging in the transformed harbour precinct along both riverbanks.

The Gothenburg Opera boasts a diverse and exciting programme of both opera, ballet, musicals and shows, and is also open throughout the summer. The Opera also has a very popular restaurant with a spacious outdoor veranda offering enchanting river views and a great atmosphere, open from 11.30 to 23.00 daily.
