There are differing opinions regarding the news – and few Danes have prior knowledge of the new destination in the route network. So for the sake of clarity, Arvidsjaur, in northern Sweden, is located at the heart of Lapland, where the wilderness awaits, offering magnificent nature adventures and fantastic ski opportunities for cross-country enthusiasts. In direct contrast, this is also the home of car-testing facilities, where such manufacturers as Opel, Mercedes and BMW air their latest models.
”By opening the new route to Arvidsjaur, we are trying to cultivate a different and exciting niche market. We know that there is a potential – and now we want to see if we can attract nature lovers and car manufacturers onto the same aircraft,” says Susanne Larsen, President of Scandinavian Airlines Danmark.
