Gotland – the exotic island in the Baltic

Gotland is the Swedes’ own favourite holiday destination. It’s an exotic but easily accessible island in the Baltic.

In spring and autumn the island is perfect for anyone looking for peace and quiet in scenic and natural surroundings. Fossils, flowers and prehistoric sites make Gotland a constant source of new discoveries.
It has Sweden’s cleanest water and boasts long hours of sunshine along its 800-km coastline.

A stroll through the World Heritage city of Visby will take you back 700 years in time, but the street life with its shops and restaurants is uncompromisingly modern. The surrounding landscape with its rich cultural history is close at hand.

You can reach Gotland by ferry from two ports on the Swedish mainland or from three airports near Stockholm.

Gotland has something for everyone!
