Dog-sledding in Swedish Lapland

Swedish Lapland is wild, white pristine nature and your dogs and experienced guide will be your best friends. These hardy huskies will pull your sled over mountains, through forests and over frozen lakes, covering distances of around 50 km daily. Your guide meanwhile will teach you how to care of the dogs and give you tips on how to get the most out of the trip.

Everyone on this tour mucks in with chopping wood, making a campfire and tending to the huskies. But it isn’t all work; you might see reindeer, wolverine, lynx and arctic fox and, if you are very lucky, the incomparable Northern Lights. You’ll be staying in mountain lodges and guesthouses along the route and sampling the local fare al fresco. On the rest day you might want to rest up, take a sauna or learn how to ice-fish.

Dog-sledding in Swedish Lapland, one of the last true wilderness areas of Europe, gives you the chance to experience and preserve this unique environment.
