Criteria for VisitSweden’s partners connecting to the new online system

You can contribute by making it easier for international visitors to book and purchase accommodation, attractions, packages and transportation in Sweden.
VisitSweden is looking for partners supplying high quality travel related products at destinations in Sweden that will appeal to international visitors.
We want to provide the opportunity to bring together various Swedish travel related products in one place so that they can be reached and booked.
As our partner you establish contact and formulate business agreements with the local suppliers of travel related online products at your destination. You make sure that the online products meet the requirement of high quality and are attractive to the international visitor. All information about the online products shown in the online system, are to be communicated in English.
VisitSweden (former Swedish Travel & Tourism Council) is jointly owned by the Swedish Government and by Swedish tourism industry (50/50). Due to the ownership by the Swedish Government it is very important that the activities of VisitSweden are competition neutral and that all qualified partners compete under the same conditions.
So that the selection process of partners is objective and non-discriminatory, VisitSweden has set the criteria to follow.
VisitSweden cannot, without an objective, acceptable reason, make any exception from the criteria in any specific case.

Criterions
Our partners should fulfill the following criteria:
- Markets travel related products in a large catchment area, such as: a county, a city and a an area with a high concentration of travel products
- Already selling online products via Citybreak* or any other online system willing to pay for the connection to Citybreak or is willing to acquire Citybreak
- Provides travel related products that are attractive to international visitors** wanting to visit Sweden. By “travel related products” we mean accommodation, attractions, travel packages and transportation
- Provides high quality travel related products with detailed product information written and communicated in English
- Is proactive in helping owners*** of travel related products to continuously provide new and updated products to the online system
- As a partner to VisitSweden you accept the terms and conditions of the agreement, which are competition neutral, and the same for all parties.
