    ÖTILLÖ The Swimrun World Championship

    ÖTILLÖ is a unique race in a unique place. It is the origin of the Swimrun movement where teams of two race together from island to island (Ö till Ö). The teams swim between the 26 islands and run over them. The total distance is 75 kilometres of which 10 km are open-water swimming and 65 km are trail-running. ÖTILLÖ is ranked as one of the toughest endurance races in the world by CNN.

    Welcome to visit this famous, oldest and most traditional Christmas Market in Stockholm with a special cheery festive atmosphere! It is located in the heart of the Old Town (Gamla Stan) at Stortorget square (close to the Royal Palace).

    In the Old Town Christmas Market you will find Swedish Christmas sweets smoked sausages, reindeer, elkmeat and other delicacies.

    There is also Glögg (mulled wine), a range of Swedish handicrafts and decorative arts of high-quality workmanship.

    Nobel Prize Day Every year, on December 10, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf presents the Nobel Prizes in economics, chemistry, physics, medicine, and literature. The ceremony takes place in Konserthuset in Stockholm. Afterwards, a banquet for 1,200 invited guests is held in Blå Hallen in Stockholms Stadshus (City Hall). One hundred years ago marks the tenth time the Nobel Prizes were awarded according to Alfred Nobel's will.
